This is my favorite arrangement in my living room.  I will start at the top and work my way down.

I bought the wrought iron candle holder at a little store in Arab, Alabama.  This is the third room
I have used this in but I love it.  I have a lot of memories in Arab.  My first cousin (sister) lived in Arab
and I have spent many nights at Carol's house.

The picture collage holds pictures of three of my nieces.  It was a Christmas gift from them and
by far my favorite gift I received.

The saying "Family is Forever" was just added 6 days ago. It is a burgangy color like the lamp shade.
I needed something in that space and I love my family!!

The cute lamp was bought at Freds!  (I know right?)

Beside it is the last picture my parents had made together before my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.  I love that picture because he looks strong and whole!  I know he is that way again because he is in Heaven!

Under the (fake) plant is two old books I purchase at a thrift store years ago (.25 cents each).  I love the way they looked.  I couldn't tell you a word written in those pages, I just love the yellowed book cover on the top book
and the leather binding on the bottom book.

The table runner was a "gift" I received from my mother-in-law.  I have no idea how old it is and that doesn't matter to me.  It has a slit in the top for the lamp cord to go under the runner.  I love that feature. But I love it most because she gave it to me.  There is a tiny stain on it somewhere but I don't even notice it anymore!

NOW...
The sewing table belonged to a friends grandmother.  Grandma Sanders was moving to another state and she gave me that table.  I am pretty sure it was not a family heirloom but it is special to me nonetheless.  My mother-in-law used it for several years before she "broke up housekeeping".  I just got it back and I didn't know what I was going to do with it.  I have a sewing table in my craft room.  I decided to put it in the living room and I have loved it there.
The drawers are empty but I plan on filling them with something soon.  I just love it all put together.
It may not be the correct way to decorate but hey I like being a rebel (sometimes).
